Electronic musician Ollie Olsen is an Australian multi-instrumentalist, composer, sound designer . He has performed, recorded and produced rock, electronic, experimental and avant garde music since the mid-1970s. His post punk groups included Whirlywirld (1978–80), Orchestra of Skin and Bone (1984–86) and No (1987–89). Olsen joined with Michael Hutchence (of INXS) to form a short-term band, Max Q, which issued an album in 1989, He co-founded the alternative electronic music record label Psy-Harmonics 1993 and recorded and produced under many guises, such as Third Eye, Shaolin Wooden Men, H.A.H. as well as releasing a series electro-acoustic compositions under his own name.
In 2020 Olsen was diagnosed with multiple system atrophy (MSA) a rare terminal illness, and as his health continues to deteriorate as there is currently no known cure. Psy-Harmonics will continue to delve deep into his vast back catalogue, releasing a series of previously unavailable material and deleted titles to celebrate Ollie's amazing music career and making it available to a larger audience.
